The Glade2d rendering engine started out as an experiment to adapt common game engine drawing patterns to the WildernessLabs Meadow's resource-constrained environment. It continues to grow into a full game engine for the Meadow! Justin Johnson discusses the approach to the engine, its capabilities and limitations, and the "API first" design to drawing abstractions. Matt Shapiro discusses deep optimizations performed to improve the frame rate and improve the rendering performance.
