Solid 9 out of 10. I deducted a point for some minor "modern audience" nonsense. There are some lesbians with an open marriage. In 1890 they would be "sisters". I'm not offended by alt lifestyles, but show the actual tyranny that these folks had to face. The way its presented is a bit jarring and lore breaking. Another big thing is the Mother and Daughter from Uganda, which come from the "largest magic school in the word" and do not use wands. So why don't we play that game? Magic without wands sounds way more cool and powerful. Also Uganda was formed in 1962. This game takes place in 1890. I like my historical fiction to be more...historical. Other than that, this is the accumulation of every great game mechanic from the last decade. Solid 9 of 10.

I read a few of the books and fell off, but this game makes me want to restart and finish the series. This game looks beautiful and is now on my list to purchase. Thank you for your review.

Haven't even played the game yet, but i get the feeling it's the same as in the modern Star Wars games (not to mention the Disney movies). The characters seem way too powerful. In the lore, Luke Skywalker is suppose to be the most powerful jedi that ever lived, and all you ever really see him do is use immense power to pull his ship from Yodas swamp swamp.. And here is this fuckin other guy pulling star destroyers out of the sky, among other things.

For PC players, one thing to note, is that depending on your setup the glitches that are mentioned in the video are far worse than on PS5. Tons of light artifacts messing up the lighting in certain areas with over saturated light. Mainly I found this to happen when at Hogwarts inside the castle. I hope they patch this soon as it is quite annoying.

I’m disappointed in you guys. This is the same garb dif tshirt. I played better on ps4 what are we doing. We should demand better. Graphics are ok i mean there are no foot prints or wetness when in an out of water. The np s are all the same I can go on an on. Story is bland no depth. I’m not even mentioning glitches that’s expected but this is a budget game mediocre at best unless your a pot head nothing special. This is where gaming is in 2023 just 4-5 aaa games worth playing a year just sad really

In my humble and probably biased opinion as a 90's millennial raised on Harry Potter, this game was phenomenal. I would say it lived up to and exceeded the hype in a way very, very few games have done in the last decade. For the fans it's full or nods, references and straight up recreations; and for the HP casuals it's just a beautiful, magical world of wonder with excellent traversal, exploration and combat. Could there have been more? Yes. It was expansive and gorgeous but it could've definitely done with a morality system or a significant choice making mechanic. Maybe that's just the Fable fan in me but those really felt like they should've been here. Quidditch too, is sorely missed. But these are all things that can elevate the sequel, if they can capture the lighting in the bottle again, improve on it and execute is as well the next game could be as highly anticipated among fans as GTAVI or Elder Scrolls VI
