Jedno ráno s Tinou a Martinem Hofmannem je česká verze titulní písně z filmu Známí Neznámí ► 🤍 Jedno ráno Podzim splétá do mlhy tisíc vůní stopy tvýho světa, zas toužím po nich roky pádí, ty někde stále jsi. Zavřu oči cítím starý časy tvář ti zakrývali jenom vlasy vůně nadějí a levných cigaret. Jedno ráno sa prihnal vietor Do sveta nás navždy rozfúkal Jedno ráno oblohou bielou Každý iným smerom letel celkom sám Jedno ráno se přihnal vítr do světa nás navždy rozfoukal jedno ráno oblohou bílou každý jiným směrem letěl někam sám Music: Martin „Fefe“ Žúži Lyrics: Martin „Fefe“ Žúži Mix & Mastering: Derek Saxenmayer, ENEM RECORDINGS Nahrávka: Martin „Fefe“ Žúži, Michal Pekárek, Igor Baar, Peter Graus, CREATIVE MUSIC HOUSE, ORM STUDIO, LOFT STUDIO Hudební supervize: Michal Novinski & Jan P. Dr. Jordan B Peterson and cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Donald Hoffman discuss what we know as reality, why space time is now being considered a “doomed” framework, and how consciousness can be understood as a vast probability space within which we orient ourselves. Hoffman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in quantitative psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles, and then his Doctorate of Philosophy in computational psychology at MIT. He briefly worked as a research scientist at the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab, before taking on the role of assistant professor at the University of California at Irvine. He is now a professor in the department of Cognitive Sciences. He has written four books (below), on the topics of human vision, perception, consciousness, and the effects of/reasons for evolution on each. He is also a key proponent of MUI (Multimodal User Interface) theory, which states that "perceptual experiences do not match or approximate properties of the objective world, but instead provide a simplified, species-specific, user interface to that world." Hoffman argues that conscious beings have not evolved to perceive the world as it actually is but have evolved to perceive the world in a way that maximizes "fitness payoffs.” Dr. Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: 🤍 - Sponsors - PreBorn!: Help save 11,000 babies from abortion: 🤍 Shopify: Get a $1/ month FREE trial with full access to Shopify's entire suite of features: 🤍 - Links - For Dr. Donald Hoffman: "The Case Against Reality: Why Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes" (Book) 🤍 "Visual Intelligence: How We Create What We See" (Book) 🤍 Dr. Hoffman on X 🤍 Dr. Hoffman's Ted Talk 🤍 - Chapters - (0:00) Coming up (0:24) Intro (1:30) Dr. Hoffman's theory of perception (4:12) Fitness payoffs (9:40) How has “reality” been shaped by evolution? You probably even include and make space for how your emotions influence perception and tie that into what creates your reality. Donald Hoffman is joining Tom for another mind-bending episode to challenge if we’re actually living in a false reality. Donald Hoffman is a cognitive scientist that has argued against reality and the limitations of spacetime. Some questions being posed in this episode that will stretch your beyond your limits are: What is beyond spacetime? What is the true structure of objective reality? Is it possible evolution has shaped us in a way that guides our behaviors and therefore how we see objective reality? His idea of comparing our current reality to that of living in a virtual headset is being taken to the next few levels up and exploring the strategies we use to survive the game of life. Check out Donald Hoffman’s latest book, The Case Against Reality, Why Evolution Hid The Truth From Our Eyes here: 🤍 Don’t miss Donald’s last conversation on Why Reality Is All A Lie: 🤍 QUOTES: “The strategies are ways to survive long enough to reproduce. So you can look at the different strategies for playing the game of life…” “The game of life is, how do I live long enough to reproduce and how do I raise my offspring to maturity.” “Our window on the world is trivial compared to in principle what could be available.” “The probability is one that we don't see the truth at all.” “Visual attention, paying attention to different objects, is our way of switching from this representation of fitness payoffs to this representation of fitness payoffs.” “Spacetime is just our headset.” “We’ve been short-changed. Really shallow data structure. Only three-dimensions of space, one dimension of time, we got a cheap headset.” “Reason is telling us its limits. Reason is saying that logic itself cannot get to all truths.” “It's better to put something on the table and get a negative reaction so we can say, what are better places to go in this.” Follow Donald Hoffman: Website:🤍 Email: ddhoff🤍uci.edu Twitter: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍

How did Mark Hoffman's younger years help turn him into the psycho he would become? And could he be back?! Let's analyze his entire history. ► Subscribe: 🤍 (Don't forget to turn on deathbell notifications!) Throughout Jigsaw's active years, he brought on a number of disciples to help him carry out his plans, and eventually take over for him after his passing, and the one who was there before all the others was Lieutenant Detective Mark Hoffman. Hoffman would stick around to become John Kramer's first true successor by continuing his work and taking on the Jigsaw moniker. But Hoffman's intentions were not the same as his master's, and he developed a severe psychopathy and megalomania, or intense hunger for power, as a result of what he had been through. In this video I'll be breaking down the entire life of Mark Hoffman, from his youth, to his youngest years as a police officer, to the incident that changed his life forever; and I'll explain how he developed the conditions that made him one of the scariest and most significant villains in the Saw franchise. I'll also look to the future. Could Hoffman have survived after his last on-screen appearance? I'll be taking a look at every possibility. #Saw #Jigsaw #Hoffman Chapters 0:00 Intro 1:02 The Birth and Family of Mark Hoffman 2:39 Early Career 3:21 Becoming Jigsaw's Disciple 5:03 Working Behind The Scenes 8:29 The Gideon Meat Packing Games 15:13 Hoffman's Megalomania 16:19 Hoffman vs Strahm 25:26 Usurping Power 29:01 The Jig Is Up 32:15 Hoffman's Revenge 38:25 What Happened To Mark Hoffman About Horror History Horror History is a series that analyses specific characters, monsters, places or events in the fictional worlds of your favorite horror franchises. In the latest Rupert Spira Podcast episode Simon Mundie moderates a fascinating discussion on science and spirituality with Rupert and cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman. The conversation includes topics such as: Why is the concept of space-time is doomed? How close are we to a theory of everything? Does the perennial philosophy need an upgrade? Can maths describe reality? Why does the one localise? and Is science finally catching up with what the great spiritual traditions have been telling us for centuries? Prof. Donald Hoffman talks to Essentia Foundation's Hans Busstra about his theory of conscious agents, according to which space and time are cognitive constructs in consciousness, not an objective scaffolding of the world outside. The interview also touches on Prof. Hoffman's personal history and life, bringing the warmth of his humanity to the academic rigor of his theories. 00:00 Intro: Beyond the spacetime headset 03:32 About Donalds personal background 07:35 On the importance of mathematics 13:22 Quantum theory and spacetime 19:24 Why exactly is spacetime 'doomed'? 24:34 Did physics 'encounter' consciousness in quantum theory? 32:49 On heavy vs light metaphysical claims 37:36 How is your theory affecting your personal life? 42:17 Is The Matrix a good metaphor? 46:38 How can the space time interface affect consciousness? 53:09 What makes you say that if spacetime is not fundamental, consciousness must be fundamental? 55:44 Physicalism fails to give an accurate model of consciousness... 1:00:24 How can we put the spacetime headset off? 05:39 Beyond the spacetime fantasies of Christopher Nolan and the Matrix... 1:09:27 The ontology of conscious agents 1:15:05 Are meditation and psychedelics 'hacks' in the interface? 1:21:41 Should we revalue religious and mystic literature? 1:29:54 Could idealism as a worldview help us better solve the challenges humanity faces? 1:34:23 The role of mathematics in bringing together science and spirituality Copyright © 2022 by Essentia Foundation. Get early access to our latest psychology lectures: 🤍 If I have a visual experience that I describe as a red tomato a meter away, then I am inclined to believe that there is, in fact, a red tomato a meter away, even if I close my eyes. I believe that my perceptions are, in the normal case, veridical—that they accurately depict aspects of the real world. But is my belief supported by our best science? In particular: Does evolution by natural selection favor veridical perceptions? Many scientists and philosophers claim that it does. But this claim, though plausible, has not been properly tested. In this talk, I present a new theorem: Veridical perceptions are never more fit than non-veridical perceptions which are simply tuned to the relevant fitness functions. This entails that perception is not a window on reality; it is more like a desktop interface on your laptop. I discuss this interface theory of perception and its implications for one of the most puzzling unsolved problems in science: the relationship between brain activity and conscious experiences. - Prof. Donald Hoffman, PhD received his PhD from MIT, and joined the faculty of the University of California, Irvine in 1983, where he is a Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Sciences.
