This is the best boat trip we have ever been on along the Coast of Baunei in Sardinia. We visited the most famous places called Cala Gonone, Cala Luna, cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritze. In my opinion this is all better than the amalfi coast in Italy and the places we saw there for example Positano, Amalfi and Sorrento. Sardinia is a very incredible place to visit and now we had seen almost all of it. We had come from Salerno on a boat and rented a car in Cagliari and drove up to the coast of Baunei. We had also previously visited Amalfi, Positano, Salerno, and Napoli. In fact, the overall vibe, as well as the landscape is quite different from the rest of Italy. 3 - The local language of Sardinia is Sardinian All people here obviously speak Italian But the local language is Sardinian, which is one of the 12 officially recognized minority languages of Italy, and it is spoken by more than a million people. 4 - But some parts of Sardinia speak Catalan Should you visit Alghero you will soon realize that the local language isn’t Italian, and not even Sardinian. This lovely town is a small Catalan enclave and most locals speak Catalan, in a variety that is actually quite similar to the one spoken in Catalonia. It’s one of the 12 minority languages of Italy. 5 - Sardinia is a large island One thing that cracks me up every time is people who ask me if 3 days are enough to visit Sardinia. 6 - Sardinia is scarcely populated Sardinia has the lowest population density in Italy. We are 1.6 millions in a land that is almost as big as Sicily, which has 5 millions, and Israel, which has 9 millions. 7 - There are more sheep than people in Sardinia Chances are that at some point during your trip, you will end up in a small country road where you’ll encounter a traffic jam (ok, this is an exaggeration) caused by a herd of sheep. 8 - Sardinian Food is delicious One thing you will soon realize when visiting Sardinia is that you will never be hungry. Sardinian food has a focus on the use of local, seasonal ingredients so what you will be eating here is fresh and usually prepared to order. 9 - And so is local Sardinian wine Where there is food, there also is wine, and Sardinia makes some excellent ones. Local grapes include Vermentino and Nurargus for the whites, and Cannonau, Bovale and Carignano del Sulcis for the richest of reds. 10 - Or beer in Sardinia Sardinians love the unfiltered variety. The consumption and production of craft beer is increasing too. The one to try is Pozzo, produced in Guspini 11 - Sardinia is one of the very few blue zones on earth This high life expectancy is due to a combination of factors which include a healthy diet, with a small dinner and a larger lunch; regular exercise (don’t think anything drastic: Sardinians love walking); a glass of red wine; strong family bonds (elderly live at home for as long as possible) and overall happiness 12 - The landscape in Sardinia can vary enormously Travel to Sardinia and you’ll see that there is an incredible variety of landscapes. Sandy beaches and small rocky coves, vast plants and mountains, gorges, forests and even sand dunes in some parts of the island! 13 - Sardinia has some unique wildlife Molentargius Nature Reserve is a nesting area for pink flamingoes and it is not uncommon to see these elegant birds fly over the skies of Cagliari. 14 - Sardinian beaches are amazing I suppose this is the main reason you are traveling to Sardinia, and rest assured you won’t be disappointed. In fact Sardinia has a great tradition of cheese making with sheep milk. Also in Sardinia you can taste some delicious pasta and of course an incredible slow roasted suckling pig. This summer we went on Holliday in one of my favourite island of my Country, sins was child mi parents used to brought me there, for my point the best part such as beaches and were the hills meet the sea, landed to Olbia Provence of Sassari, we drove to Porto Cervo_ Emerald coast_ our base, and we visit some of the Most stunning beaches until we get to Orosei further down, tasting the local cheese and delicious cured meat... hope you're enjoy this footage.

Three thousand years ago, on the island of Sardinia, flourished a remarkable society. Right across the island, between about 1800 BC to 800 BC, they constructed around ten thousand astonishing stone structures called nuraghes. The ruins of around 7,000 of these structures can be seen today. Evidence for the kind of society this was, is also seen in the unique bronze figurines and models that they left behind. Hundreds of these show armoured warriors bearing bows, swords and shields, along with the horned helmets they wore into battle. This society reached its peak in the late bronze age when their influence spread beyond their home island. Sardinian material culture from this era is found as far away as Crete while at the same time Mycenaean pottery and Cypriot bronzes appear all over Sardinia. So who were these people? Why did they build thousands of these enormous, complex structures? Were they really as warlike as their figurines suggest? And what happened to them?
