Toggle off Automatically determine input sensitivity under input sensitivity. 5. Now we need to adjust the input sensitivity so that it is just above any background noise but below the volume of your voice. 6. My tutorial on how to boost your microphone level and prevent clipping in OBS. More specifically, how to boost the input level of any audio input source while preventing clipping distortion. There are several tutorials covering this topic on YouTube, but I didn't come across one that really takes clipping distortion into consideration. I understand that a lot of streamers don't really care if their mic clips. I get it. In fact, a lot of top streamers occasionally have clipped & distorted audio. However, I'm an audio engineer that agonizes over these sort of things, and figured there are like-minded people out there looking for the clearest audio possible.
